Founded in 2007 — for more than 20 years, 4KQA has supported organizations in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, and innovative industries by helping them build practical, compliant, and sustainable quality management systems. We combine deep industry knowledge with hands-on implementation support to help organizations improve performance, meet customer requirements, and prepare for successful audits.
The same experience that supports our consulting engagements shapes our templates, checklists, and guidance. That means you get systems that stand up in review — not just language that looks right on paper. Direct access. Practical guidance. No extra layers.
Years in aerospace quality — working directly with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers across major aerospace and defense programs.
Bilingual, cross-border experience — built for teams and audits across the US, Mexico, and Latin America.
Direct access to the people doing the work — no account managers, no hand-offs, just a clear plan and follow-through.
Think of us as the team that helps you prove — to customers, auditors, and regulators — that you do what you say you do. We translate complex standards into simple steps your team can actually follow, then help you keep it running long after the audit ends.
The standard most aerospace customers require before they'll do business with you. We help you get there — and stay there — without the guesswork.
The most widely recognized quality standard in the world. A great fit for any business — manufacturer or service provider — looking to win bigger contracts and run more consistently.
Medical devices, testing laboratories, environmental services — every industry has its own rulebook. We help you find the right one and meet it.
A practice run before the real audit. We check your operations honestly and objectively, so surprises don't show up when it counts.
Make sure the companies you depend on — from parts suppliers to translation and testing services — meet the same standards you do.
Plain-language training that gets your team comfortable with audits, standards, and day-to-day quality habits — no jargon required.
Most of our clients come to us through referrals — people we've worked with who bring us along to their next company, or whose own operations expand to a new site. Often that means stepping in temporarily: getting a new location's quality system in order until it's ready to run with a local team. We're based in Southern California and travel as far as projects justify.

Have a project elsewhere? If it's worthwhile, we travel — let's talk.
Since 2007, we've worked with manufacturers, machine shops, and service providers supplying major aerospace and defense programs — many of whom we still support today.
Practical quality tools designed to support planning, documentation, audits, and follow-up. Each product is designed to reduce guesswork, speed preparation, and help your team act before a gap becomes an audit finding.
Templates, structures, and prompts to help your team build controlled quality documentation faster — built around real AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements.
Practical audit checklists designed to guide evidence gathering, gap review, and follow-up action — so nothing falls through before the real audit.
Focused training that helps new internal auditors understand what to look for, what to record, and how to report clearly — at their own pace.
If your question isn't here, reach out directly — you'll hear back from the people who do the work, not a sales team.
AS9100 is the quality management standard used across the aerospace industry. If you want to supply parts or services to aerospace manufacturers — or keep contracts you already have — most customers will require AS9100 certification, or at least a quality system aligned to it. If you sell into other industries, ISO 9001 may be the better fit; we help you determine which standard your customers actually require before you invest in either.
No — and that's an important distinction. Certification is issued by accredited certification bodies (registrars) after an independent audit. What 4KQA does is get you ready: we build or fix your quality system, train your team, run internal audits, and prepare you so the certification audit holds no surprises. No consultant can guarantee certification — anyone who promises it should raise a red flag.
It depends on where you're starting from. A company with documented processes and engaged leadership can be audit-ready in a few months; a company starting from scratch typically needs longer. The first step is a gap assessment — a structured review of your current operations against the standard — which gives you a realistic timeline and a prioritized work plan instead of a guess.
Yes. Standards like AS9100 and ISO 9001 require internal audits, but they don't require that your own staff perform them. Many of our clients outsource internal audits to us — it keeps the audits objective, frees up their team, and brings an auditor's eye that has reviewed many quality systems, not just one. We also train in-house teams that prefer to run their own.
This is one of the most common situations we see. Repeat findings usually trace back to corrective actions that treat symptoms instead of root causes. We review your CAPA process, dig into the root-cause analysis behind recurring findings, and rebuild the corrective-action loop so problems close permanently — not just until the next audit.
Yes — 4KQA works fully in English and Spanish. That includes documentation, training, and audit support for teams across the US, Mexico, and Latin America. For cross-border operations, we can work with your English-speaking management and your Spanish-speaking production floor without anything getting lost in between.
